At HeySocial, we stand behind the quality of our AI-powered social media content generation service. This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which refunds may be issued and the process for requesting them.

This Refund Policy is separate from our Money-Back Guarantee. Please review both documents to understand all available options.

2. General Refund Policy

2.1 No Refunds for Subscription Services

Due to the nature of our AI-powered content generation service, all subscription fees are generally non-refundable. This includes:

  • Monthly, quarterly, or yearly subscription fees
  • Partial period subscriptions
  • Unused portion of a billing period
  • Services already rendered (content generated, approved, etc.)

2.2 Why Subscription Fees Are Non-Refundable

Our Service incurs significant costs from the moment you subscribe:

  • AI model usage and computational resources
  • Content generation and optimization processing
  • Image and video generation infrastructure
  • Third-party API usage (AI providers, image generation, etc.)

These costs are incurred immediately when generating content, regardless of whether you ultimately use the generated content.

3. Exceptions

We may issue refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:

3.1 Technical Issues

If our Service experiences significant technical problems that:

  • Prevent you from accessing the Service for an extended period (48+ hours)
  • Make the Service completely unusable and unable to generate content
  • Cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe

In such cases, we may provide a prorated refund for the period the Service was unavailable, provided you have not generated or approved content prior to the technical failure.

3.2 Billing Errors

If you are charged incorrectly due to:

  • Duplicate charges
  • Charges after cancellation (if cancellation was processed before billing)
  • System errors or bugs

We will investigate and issue appropriate refunds for verified billing errors.

3.3 Unauthorized Charges

If you can demonstrate that a charge was unauthorized or fraudulent, we will immediately suspend the account, investigate the claim, and issue a refund if the claim is verified.

3.4 Platform Failure

If the platform completely fails to generate content or function at all, we may offer a refund at our discretion. However, if you have successfully generated or approved any content, this demonstrates that the platform worked and no refund will be issued.

4. Money-Back Guarantee (First-Time Subscribers)

New customers are protected by our Money-Back Guarantee. This guarantee applies only if the platform fails to work or generate content. If you have successfully generated or approved content, the guarantee does not apply as the platform worked as intended. Please see our separate Money-Back Guarantee page for full details.

5. Requesting a Refund

5.1 How to Request

To request a refund under this policy, you must:

  • Send an email to help@heysocial.ai with the subject "Refund Request"
  • Include your account email and order/invoice number
  • Clearly explain the reason for your refund request
  • Provide any supporting documentation or evidence

5.2 Review Process

Upon receiving your refund request:

  • We will acknowledge receipt within 1 business day
  • We will review your request within 5-7 business days
  • We may request additional information or clarification
  • We will provide a written decision with explanation

5.3 Refund Processing

If your refund is approved:

  • Full or partial refund amount will be specified
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method
  • Processing typically takes 5-10 business days
  • Your account may be suspended or terminated

6. Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Log into your account
  • Navigate to subscription settings
  • Click "Cancel Subscription"
  • Follow the cancellation prompts

Effect of Cancellation:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You retain access to the Service until the paid period ends
  • No refund is provided for the remaining days in the billing period
  • Your data is retained for 90 days in case you reactivate

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks can result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Inability to use the Service in the future
  • Additional fees and collection efforts

We are committed to resolving billing disputes fairly. If you have a concern, contact us at help@heysocial.ai and we will work with you to find a solution.

If you file a chargeback without contacting us first, your account will be immediately terminated. We reserve the right to dispute illegitimate chargebacks, and future access to the Service may be denied.

8. EU Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, by using the Service and generating content, you acknowledge that:

  • The Service begins performance immediately upon subscription
  • Content generation constitutes full performance of the service
  • You waive the right of withdrawal once content is generated or approved

If you subscribe but do not use the Service (no content generated or approved) within 14 days and the platform was functional and available to you, you may exercise your right of withdrawal and receive a full refund.

9. What Is Not Eligible for Refund

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • Failure to cancel before renewal
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content quality or style
  • Content that was successfully generated (demonstrates the platform worked)
  • Failure to use the Service during a billing period
  • Better pricing found elsewhere after subscription
  • Violation of Terms of Service resulting in account termination
  • Third-party platform integration issues beyond our control
  • Social media results not meeting expectations (results vary by industry and audience)

10. Before Requesting a Refund

Before requesting a refund, please consider:

  • Contact Support: We can often resolve issues or customize your content preferences
  • Adjust Your Settings: Refine your brand voice, visual style, and blueprint selections for better results
  • Give It Time: AI-generated content improves as the system learns from your approvals and rejections

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
